BARTELLETTY (or BARTELLETTI) Aldo 1898/1976
Sculptor born in Seravezzo (Italy) in 1898. Italian School.
Pupil of M. Marx and H Daillon, he exhibited animals in cute earth at the Salon des Artistes Françaises from 1922 and received an honorable mention in 1924. Among these items at the same show were: Devotion Sincere, marble group representing a Dog removing a child from water (1932). In 1941 he sent five works to the Independent Salon, one of them: a white marble woman's profile that was not accepted, which created an incident between the Salon and the artist. A few days later, in his studio in the presence of the artistic club of the VIIIth arrondissement and the press, he executed the bust of a bailiff (Me Pouard) in 95 minutes ...
